SEVEN MORE SLEEPS!

Here are the latest photographs of Tempranillo.
She is in the paint shop and has her windows in, including our lovely 'grape' port holes.
Unfortunately the right stovepipe has not arrived yet and the radiators for the central heating are still to be delivered as the wrong type were sent originally.

The signwriter has yet to work his magic too which will make all the difference.

Hope to get more info in the next few days.

NOT LONG NOW.

Not As Close As We Hoped

Friday was supposed to be delivery day but the date is now 7th September so this is a short up-date. Tempranillo is in the paint shop and all the interior is finished. Unfortunately we have not been to visit so there are no new photographs to show, however we are hoping that Paul or Anthony who are building Tempranillo might find a couple of minutes to e-mail a couple of piccies. If they do, they will be right here asap. So check back soon.

Here is a couple more photos from our last visit just to keep you interested.

As soon as I get more photo's I will post them.

See you again soon.

Getting Ever Closer

The time is getting close for delivery, hopefully next week in time for the August Bank Holiday weekend. Sue and I are getting to the point where we can't sleep due to being so excited!

We visited Sea Otter Boat Builders on Tuesday this week and the photographs below show the latest developments. There has been a slight problem with one of our specially engraved porthole windows which had to be returned to the manufacturers and until all the windows are available to be fitted, Tempranillo cannot enter the paintshop. But we ever hopeful that it will be solved this week.

Once the windows are in the next move is into the paintshop.

Forward Cabin. The step pulls out to make a double bed.

Something to keep us warm on a winter's evening.

Stern Cabin looking at the Galley. Cooker & Fridge still to be fitted.

The important little room.

Still lots to do. Sue and I have to decide on the font for the signwriting by tomorrow. Why are there so many fonts that all look the same? Should the name be all capitals? How big should the lettering be? It was easier to choose the soft furnishings!

We are sure we can agree and it will all be wonderful. We just cannot wait.

Visit again soon when we hope to show the official launch.

BYE-BYE HARVEST MOON

Bit of a sad day yesterday. We handed over our first boat 'Harvest Moon' to its new owners. We had her for 11 years and enjoyed every minute of ownership. "The most used craft on the Marina" was a quote from one of our neighbours, and I would say that was very true. We had many a trip to Tescos or Sainsburys who both have moorings for shoppers along the Grand Union Canal, as well as many voyages to central London and Camden Market, to mention just a few!

In her home berth.

Three generations a-board.

Happy Days.

Lovely...but not a day for boating.

In contrast to the above, today was a really exciting day. We drove up to Derbyshire where "TEMPRANILLO' is being born to see how she was coming along. See for yourselves...

The engine is in.

Next visit is planned for 2 weeks time and delivery should be just in time for the August Bank Holiday weekend, all being well.
